I don't know how to join the session
  • Find the student’s name on your school page.
  • Click on ‘Start session’
  • In the new window that opens, type the student’s name and click ‘Join’
  • The tutor will accept the student into the classroom at the session starting time
I am having audio problems in the classroom

Check your hardware:

  • Make sure your headset is working and plugged in properly
  • Increase the input/output volume on your computer 

Check your browser:

  • Make sure you are using Google Chrome
  • Allow ‘microphone’ and ‘sound’ in browser settings

Check that you have ’Joined audio’ in the classroom

If the issue persists after making changes, refresh the browser. If all fails, contact us for technical support.

I can’t join the Classroom or nothing happens when I click ‘Start session’
  • Make sure you are using Google Chrome as the browser
  • Check your internet connection using https://www.speedtest.net/ (min. download speed should be 1 Mbits, min. upload speed should be 0.5 Mbits)
I am waiting a long time for the Classroom to start

The student will be accepted into the classroom at the session start time. If the student arrives early they will need to wait for a little while. There’s no need to refresh the page.  

At the start time, the student will be prompted to do a sound (echo) test. This may take a few minutes. If this takes an unusually long time, you can: 

  • Make sure you are using Google Chrome as the browser
  • Check your internet connection using https://www.speedtest.net/ (minimum download speed should be 1 Mbits, minimum upload speed should be 0.5 Mbits)
